Hear from communities that have implemented policies to increase program enrollment, and the challenges and benefits they experienced.

Homeowner engagement and lack of access to private-side service lines can be challenges to LSL replacement programs and create inefficiencies. Some municipalities have implemented policies to help increase enrollment in LSL replacement programs, including automatic enrollment policies.

In this webinar, co-hosted by the Lead Service Line Replacement Collaborative and Environmental Policy Innovation Center, attendees will hear from several communities/water systems that have implemented policies meant to increase program enrollment about why they chose to pursue these policies, the challenges and benefits they’ve experienced, and how policies can be combined with other engagement strategies. The webinar will feature an overview of the policies and then a panel-style discussion featuring representatives from Detroit and Milwaukee, as well as the Environmental Policy Innovation Center, which recently released a white paper on automatic enrollment policies.
