St. Louis gets $374K state clean water grant

The city of St. Louis is one of 28 communities to receive a portion of $14 million awarded by the state as part of its Mi Clean Water Plan.
The city will receive a $374,722 Drinking Water Asset Management Grant to develop, update or secure distribution system materials as defined by Michigan’s lead and copper rules.
The funding, issued through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, will support work such as replacing lead service lines, enhancing water affordability plans and connecting homes with contaminated drinking water wells to safe community water supplies.
