One of the guiding principles of the LSL replacement collaborative is that lead service line replacement initiatives should consider and address barriers to participation so consumers served by LSLs can benefit equitably, regardless of income, race, or ethnicity.

To this end, the LSL Replacement Collaborative recently released a step-by-step guide communities can use to help consider and account for issues of equity when developing LSL replacement programs. In this webinar, we provided an overview of the Collaborative’s new guide and lifted up examples from across the country of how communities are working to promote equity in their replacement programs – touching on issues including funding, community engagement, and contracting.
